Hello! This summer ended up being one big road trip after another!
First, my friend Evie and I were planning on flying to GodotCon in Boston, but our flight was canceled last minute. Fortunately, she recently got an electric VW van, which made for a great alternative to get to the convention! It made for a very long drive to Boston in 1 day, but we took our time on the way home and made a campout of it!

GodotCon Boston was a fantastic experience! I learned so much about the engine, met so many folks that contribute to it, and played a huge variety of indie games using all kinds of features Godot has to offer. Next year, I imagine it will be even better, particularly as Godot has been gaining steam among game jammers and indie devs.
A week later I was on the road again, this time to Gen Con in Indianapolis, by way of Cincinnati! After a stopover at the museum of science (really cool cave exhibit, by the way!) me, and some of my favorite folks to collaborate with went out to see the convention!
I’ve never been to Gen Con before, and I was blown away by how big of an event it is! (So much so, that I neglected to take a single picture 🫠) The closest I’ve seen to something of this scale was San Diego Comic Con, many years ago! It’s exciting and inspiring to see what projects are coming up or freshly released, and I ended up walking out with way more games that I was expecting to… Ain’t that just the way.
I have a week before I hit the road again! Until then I’ll be working on my projects, getting stuff ready for playtesting this fall. I can’t wait until I can say more about it!
